Telegram CPM rates

CPM is the price per 1,000 impressions. On Telegram Ads it is auction-driven: the official floor is just 0.1 TON (≈$0.36) per mille and the standard sponsored CPM is around €1, but a competitive Tier-1 auction clears far higher. Below — benchmark ranges by geo and niche, each from public agency data and ads.telegram.org. Figures are indicative and move with the auction.

Standard CPM

Three cabinets, three currencies

EUR Ads Cabinet

Fiat billing. Standard CPM ≈€1, €2 minimum per campaign. Public channels 1,000+ subs; external links not allowed.

TON Ads

Same official platform, billed in Toncoin. Min CPM 0.1 TON ≈ $0.36; first deposit from 20 TON (≈$50–60), no minimum after. Targets specific channels, any language, global.

Stars Promotions

1 Star ≈ $0.013 (floats; 200 Stars = 1 TON). Ads paid in Stars get a 30% discount. For mini-apps, paid media and Star giveaways.

What drives CPM

  • Geo. The biggest multiplier — Tier-1 (US/UK/DE/FR) clears at $10–12, emerging markets near the $0.30–0.60 floor.

  • Auction. Pricing is auction-driven and indicative: more advertisers on the same channels → higher clearing CPM. EUR-cabinet geo availability also changes over time.

  • Niche. Money, finance and tech audiences cost more; news and memes clear cheapest — most visible in direct channel seeding.

  • Cabinet and format. TON and EUR price impressions (CPM); Stars prices installs, boosts and gift conversions instead.

What is the minimum Telegram Ads CPM?+

The official floor is 0.1 TON ≈ $0.36 per 1,000 impressions. The minimum to launch a campaign is €2. A typical standard sponsored CPM is around €1.

Why is US CPM higher than emerging markets?+

Telegram Ads is an auction. Tier-1 geos (US, UK, Germany, France) have dense advertiser competition, so the effective CPM clears at $10–12. Uzbekistan, India and much of LATAM sit near the $0.30–0.60 floor.

How much is a direct post from a channel?+

Direct placements (outside the cabinet) are priced by the channel admin, not by a CPM auction. CIS benchmarks: news/memes €1.5–3, IT ≈€10, business/finance €15–20+ — tracking the channel’s reach, ER and niche.

Did Telegram lower the €2M ad threshold?+
